AN ASPEN ANNIVERSARY SESSION

Rob & Ellen’s anniversary session in Aspen was one of my favorites ever. Aspen is one of my favorite places in Colorado for a destination mountain elopement, wedding, or engagement/anniversary session! There are so many awesome venues and locations to get married at, and this was one of my favorite locations!

When we were planning out their session, I was already going to be in Aspen for a few elopements and weddings that week, and I was so excited when they said they were down to come out celebrate their anniversary there that week too!! We spent the evening running all around Independence Pass and checking out different locations on the way. I had never been before and we didn’t really have a plan, and it worked out so perfectly. I LOVE when couples are up for anything and ready to just make it a good time and go with the flow!

Rob and Ellen didn’t write personal vows at their wedding, so thought it would be the perfect thing to do for their first anniversary. We waited until sunset and then they wore their wedding attire and exchanged the most thoughtful, sweet vows to each other. It was so special to be a part of. I love when couples make their session more of an experience and incorporate something special to them into it rather than just photos. We got the prettiest sunset that night on the top of the mountain, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect!!
