A ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT AT BEAR LAKE

Byanka and Gabe’s intimate wedding at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park was such a dream. Rocky Mountain National Park is such a beautiful spot for an intimate wedding or elopement, and Bear Lake is one of my favorite spots. Byanka had the most beautiful dress from BHLDN, and she looked like an princess!! 

Byanka and Gabe met when she was 13 and they talked on the phone when he was the older brother to her classmate Luke. Gabe liked her back then, and they stayed friends that whole time until they started dating (how cute is that?!). Flash forward to their proposal – Gabe proposed to Byanka at Texas State Park after hiking for about 5 miles. These two are super active and even own a gym together, so obviously an adventure wedding in the mountains made perfect sense! 

These two and their closest family and friends drove all the way from southern Texas to get married here in Colorado, and their day was all that they hoped for – so laid back, fun, and full of love. We started the day at Bear Lake, where Gabe’s parents conducted the ceremony and Byanka + Gabe read their personal written vows which were so beautiful. One awesome thing about eloping in Colorado is you can self-solemnize and don’t need an officiant, so you can either self conduct your ceremony, or designate a family member or friend to speak like Byanka and Gabe did and they don’t have to be ordained. 

After the ceremony we went on a nice hike around the lake with all of their family and friends, taking photos along the way. It was such a beautiful day, warm from the sun but crisp and fresh snow from the day before. Rocky Mountain National Park has such a special place in my heart so I absolutely love sharing that with couples who come from out of state to make it a special part of their story. Once the hike finished, we had a snowball fight (umm wedding goals?!!), signed their certificate and then they all headed off to a nice dinner to celebrate!

I love couples who aren’t afraid to make their wedding day all about THEM and what they want.
