As much as I love being a Colorado wedding and elopement photographer, I absolutely love being a part of all stages of couples love stories. Kate and Logan live in Oklahoma City and came to visit Colorado to spend their first anniversary hiking and exploring breweries in Breckenridge. Kate found me on Instagram and when she reached out to me in hopes of doing an anniversary session while they were here in Colorado celebrating their on year anniversary, I was so stoked!
Kate and Logan were looking for an epic mountain location near Breckenridge, Colorado and we landed on Sapphire Point because of everything it has to offer. Sapphire Point as a gorgeous mountain overlook near Breckenridge in Dillon, Colorado that overlooks Lake Dillon and has stunning mountain views. It is one of my favorite locations in the area for adventure elopements, intimate wedding ceremonies, and of course couples sessions!
We had so much fun exploring the area together and soaking up the views. Kate and Logan spent most of the time cuddling and laughing (Kate has the most adorable, genuine smile EVER).
Weather in Colorado can be crazy and unpredictable 99.9% of the time. We were a little nervous leading up to their session because it was supposed to thunderstorm all day! Luckily the rain stopped just in time for our shoot and held off the entire time… and we had some gorgeous overcast clouds. It started down pouring again just as we were finishing and walking to our carsβ¦ how perfect is that?
Anniversary sessions are one of my favorite to capture and be a part of. I think it is so important to not only capture your engagement and getting married, but all major milestones of your relationship. What better way to celebrate your 1st, 5th, 10th, etc. anniversary than with an adventurous photo session?
OMG the way they nuzzle up to each other you can feel the love! so sweet and the views are to die for in Colorado!! So glad the rain stayed away. π
